Hepatitis C usually transmits through blood, sex and from mother to child.
When being informed that we are infected with virus C, we can experience many different feelings: panic, anger, sorrow, confusion. We are panic because we hear that virus C easily leads to cirrhosis and liver cancer – a disease which is considered as death. Then we feel angry because we don’t know how this virus got into our bodies. And we feel sad when we think about the amount of money annd tiredness during treatment but still not sure about a positive result. All those feelings and worry can lead us to confusion because we don’t know how we get hepatitis C.
How is Hepatitis C sexually transmitted?
Any sexual behavior which cause scratch or damage is risky. Sex through anus is more risky than sex through vagina. Both of these sexes are more risky than sex through mouth. Contact mouth with anus is also a risky behavior.
Some factors that make Hepatitis C easy to transmit through sex are having sexually transmitted diseases before (such as syphilis, contraband, cockscomb…), being infected with HIV, having many lovers, sexing with bleeding risk, gay sex…
To reduce the risk of transmitting virus, people who have sex but not as one wife one husband relationship must be careful. They must use condoms because there is no vaccine to prevent Hepatitis C today.
