Everybody expresses the desire to have a healthy lifestyle, a reasonable diet, no obesity, and a good health. However, easier said than done and achieving these above mentioned targets is proven not simple at all. It is understood that a healthy lifestyle is a lifestyle first, and not a course or a training program lasting several months. If we regard healthy living as a temporary program, then after a few days or a few weeks, we will gradually forget it. For this reason, to make healthy living become natural and closer to our lives, we need to implement some “strategies” below:
- Say no to fast foods
If our refrigerators at home or refrigerators at company contain all the foods such as hamburger, potato chips, fried chicken, hot dog, carbonated water,… then how we can persevere with a healthy diet. It is best not to “challenge” your patience in this way. Get rid of all the fast foods in the fridge as soon as possible.
- Find the menus to cook healthy dishes
At present, it is not so difficult to find the menus of healthy diets. We can find thousands of such menus on the internet, but the most important point is to embark on implementing them. Therefore, choose some easy to do menus with easy to find ingredients right now then immediately go to buy and process. Do not just wait and hesitate any more.
- Precook foods
The easiest way to make us “must persevere” with a healthy diet is cooking foods for several days. Let cook a batch of foods, then split into small jars and store in refrigerator or freezer. - Reserve many healthy light meals
Whenever feeling hungry and wanting to take a snack, we often look around in the fridge, the kitchen cupboard at home. To avoid eating unhealthy foods, we should actively reserve many healthy light meals, such as fresh fruits, nuts, dried fruits,… Thus, these simple meals will not influence or “spoil” healthy diet that we are doing.
- Avoid inappropriate places
Previously, when wanting to make appointment with friends, we regularly thought of a bar or roadside barbecue stores with inappropriate foods. Now, let try meeting friends to have tea or a walk in the park, or a few restaurants with light, healthy dishes. Always remember to not take the “meeting friends” as an excuse to break the diet chosen.
- Do not exercise alone
To obtain a healthy lifestyle, good health, we need to join the exercise programs, but we often feel bored and give up very quickly. To put an end to this, try inviting some colleagues, friends, or your lover even your wife/husband to join with you. Someone to practice with will make the training become funnier, more exciting and fewer dropouts.
- Outdoor Activities
Take time for daily outdoor activities, breathe the fresh air and enjoy the sunshine. Do not spend all the time in the office and stick with the TV or computer after that.
- Choose water and tea as the decisive drinks
Many people choose soda and coffee for their daily drinking water. This is not good for health. Choose water and tea (preferably unsweetened) as the leading beverage daily.
- Relax between working hours
If your job requires using the computer all day, spend a few minutes resting after each working hour to stretch, take a walk or drink some water.
- Be patient, do not be hasty
To make a healthy diet become a lifestyle, learn to be patient, do not urge and cause yourself much stress due to sudden changes. Please change each habit. Until these changes gradually become normal, switch to other habits.
- Discover new dishes
Do not consider the change of diet is a “sacrifice” of you. Instead, regard changing the diet as a journey to discover new dishes. Create an inspiration for yourself by trying new, unique foods of India, Thailand, Japan,…
- Quit smoking habit
This is not easy at all, but essential if you want a truly healthy lifestyle. If you do not smoke, it is so wonderful. Do not ever try. And if you are a drug addict, quit this habit at any cost.
